What Are Channels?
Channels connect Vivreal to external tools Stripe, social platforms, and more. Each one is defined by a manifest that declares what it can do.
Available channels
Stripe, the social platforms, Mailchimp, and Shopify all connect via manifest-driven OAuth.
- Stripe product sync, checkout sessions, order emails
- LinkedIn and X connect via OAuth and publish directly (Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok coming soon)
- Mailchimp connect via OAuth and send email campaigns from your content
- Shopify connect via OAuth with two-way product sync
Limits per tier
Channel connection limits are hard when you hit your cap, new connections are blocked.
- Free: 3 channels
- Basic ($19/mo): 5 channels
- Pro ($59/mo): Unlimited
- Pro Plus ($119/mo): Unlimited
Manifest-driven architecture
Every channel is defined by a JSON manifest no portal code changes needed to add new channels.
- Declares auth type (API key, OAuth 2.0, webhook, none)
- Defines config fields, capabilities, tabs, and actions
- AI agents can read manifests to understand channels programmatically
- New channels added by dropping a manifest file no deploy needed
Sync & credential security
Channel credentials are encrypted and sync is on-demand.
- Credentials stored with AES-256-GCM encryption in MongoDB
- Sync is one-directional and on-demand (click "Sync" in settings)
- Stripe: Vivreal pulls products from Stripe API into your collections
- Social: platform is source of truth, Vivreal pulls posts on sync
